Vacation/Security Checks
The Moraine Police Division offers a security check program for residents who will be away from home. If any problems are found, you will be contacted. We will try to assist taking care of any problems while you are away.
Traffic School
Traffic School Program was created to allows violators who have received a traffic ticket but are otherwise good drivers to attend. Successful graduates have the traffic ticket dismissed, no fine to pay, no points on your driver’s license and no raise in insurance premiums.
Self Defense Classes
Our Self Defense programs consists of several weeks of self-defense training including personal protection techniques and general crime prevention methods.
Records
Our Records Section is responsible for processing and organizing all records generated by the police division including miscellaneous reports, criminal reports, evidentuary photos and traffic accident reports.
Patrol
The Patrol Section is responsible for handling calls placed to the communications center, traffic enforcement, criminal apprehensions, and other ancillary services.
Special Assignments Section
Our Special Assignments Section is responsible for the successful conclusion of all criminal prosecutions, crime prevention activities, undercover operations, and investigation of crimes.

Our goal is to foster relationships through our community outreach programs.

On Sunday, April 14, 2024, at approximately 2:10 a.m. a Moraine Police Officer was investigating a traffic accident on Interstate 75.
A driver in the right lane failed to move over or slow down and collided with the emergency vehicle.
It's crucial for drivers to adhere to the law and exercise caution when encountering emergency vehicles on the road. "Move over or slow down" laws are implemented to ensure the safety of emergency personnel and drivers alike. Always staying attentive and following these regulations can help prevent accidents and protect lives. Fortunately, the officer and the driver involved were unharmed.

Press Release
On 3/19/2024, after a several month long narcotics investigation, The Tactical Crime Suppression Unit along with the assistance of the Riverside Police Department, Riverside Fire Department, and the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center executed two search warrants where guns, drugs, and money were seized. One subject was taken into custody and is awaiting formal charges.

We will be participating in the Statewide Tornado Drill on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 9:50 A.M. The drill is in addition to normal testing done monthly on the first Monday of each month at noon.
